A Message from the Principal
Welcome to Midway Elementary!
It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of Midway Elementary, a school that has been an important part of my journey as a student, educator, and leader. My connection to Dinwiddie County Public Schools runs deep. As a former Midway student, DCPS graduate, Midway teacher, and school principal, I have experienced firsthand the lasting impact this school has on the lives of children and families.
Midway Elementary is proud to be part of Dinwiddie County Public Schools’ commitment to “Deep Roots, Great Heights.” Our strong foundation in community, relationships, and a culture of care creates an environment where students can thrive. Together with our families, staff, and community partners, we are committed to the DCPS vision of developing learners who are confident, compassionate, resilient, and prepared to thrive in college, career, community, and character.
As principal, I recognize the responsibility of ensuring that our decisions and actions are centered on what is best for our students. Our goal is to create meaningful learning experiences that help students discover their strengths, develop their character and leadership skills, and build upon their curiosity and confidence to become lifelong learners.
I hope that every student who leaves Midway carries with them a lasting sense of pride and belonging. The experiences they have, the lessons they learn, and the people they meet will become part of their story. I hope that, years from now, they will look back on their time at Midway with gratitude and perhaps even return to help carry forward the traditions and spirit of this special school for future generations.
Welcome to Midway Elementary School, where our roots run deep, and our possibilities reach great heights!
